How a Jaguar Smart Key Works
Jaguar smart key is an easy method of locking and unlocking your vehicle from a distance. However, like all electronics it requires electricity, provided by a battery.
Your car could show an increase in its range of signals when your Smart Key battery begins to end up dying. The center of the message may display the alert "SMART Key Battery Low".
Keyless Entry
With this feature, you can access your Jaguar without having to dig through your purse or pockets. The system uses proximity sensors to detect the Jaguar Smart Key fob, which will trigger your XE's automatic opening. Pick any door handle and the vehicle will open and arm itself as you are approaching. You can lock your vehicle by pressing the handle of the door or the key fob after you leave the vehicle.

Panic Alarm

To activate G28CarKeys of your vehicle you need to press the button on your Smart Key with a headlamp symbol three times within three seconds. You can also utilize the Jaguar Activity Key without the Smart Key inside to lock and unlock the vehicle. Simply slide the Activity Key onto your wrist, shut the doors, turn off your engine and then hold the Activity Key against the Jaguar emblem on your tailgate. Fortunately, this is easy to avoid by using the remote start system only if you are sure you are in a secure location and that no one else can see your smart key. You can also trigger the alarm from afar which will sound loudly enough to scare away potential thieves. You can also add the Activity Key to your smart key to avoid having to bring a key fob while you're hiking or mountain biking.
